a manicure is not the same as a henna, still…

my attempt to alleviate my misery re: EXTREME SLEEPLESSNESS failed today. i TRIED to go and get a henna, but the place that has a flyer in the indian restaurant does not, apparently, exist. so i got a $12 manicure instead. i really like manicures, and for $12, really, we all deserve to get them as often as feasible. I have had 3 in my whole life, but think i should indulge more.
the girl massaged my whole arms and didn’t even laugh when i showed her the horrible state of my fingers.
and now i can welcome baby with pretty hands.
baby books were on sale at target, so that’s another project i can start, writing in that.
i really want sleep but i think it’s not to be. i will write in the baby book now. hopefully i will have good penmanship.
